Welcome to the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Integrated Photonic and Electronic Systems (IPES) and the CDT in Connected Electronic and Photonic Systems (CEPS)
The two world leading UK universities have combined their expertise in photonics to establish an exciting new Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Integrated Photonic and Electronic Systems (IPES), leveraging their current strong collaborations in research and innovation. We train postgraduate students, using innovative teaching and learning techniques and collaborates closely with a wide range of leading companies and research centres worldwide.
The Centre was founded in 2009 as the Centre for Doctoral Training in Photonic Systems Development (PSD) and then in both 2013 and 2019 gained further funding from the EPSRC for a centre encompassing even more research groups at UCL and Cambridge with a stronger focus on the integration (IPES CDT) and connectivity of electronic and photonic systems (CEPS CDT)..
If you would like to join us as a student or register your interest in working with us as an industrial partner, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Studentships Available for UK and EU Applicants
