Advanced Technology Showcase shows how universities support business growth
Universities and academia are keen to engage with industry through collaborations, access to equipment & facilities, licensing of technologies etc but businesses are often unaware of how much these institutions can benefit them.
On 24th October at Senate House, London, a wide range of companies in the photonics, electronic and sensor industry sectors came to meet with universities to connect their businesses to cutting edge research.
During the morning, businesses and universities gave short pitches about their needs and capabilities whilst speakers from a range of leading companies including Vodafone, Cisco and Zinwave gave presentations.
In the afternoon companies could book brokering meetings with universities to discuss collaboration opportunities. Already the event has resulted in a range of new business/academia collaborations.
