Professor Tony Kenyon has been appointed to the Strategic Advisory Network (SAN) of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).

Professor Tony Kenyon is one of sixteen newly appointed members of the Strategic Advisory Network (SAN) of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). The EPSRC is one of the seven funding councils of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).

On his appointment to SAN, Professor Kenyon said, “I’m delighted to have been appointed to the EPSRC SAN. This is great opportunity to engage closely with one of our most important research funders and to advise them on future strategy. I’m really looking forward to the challenge.”

The EPSRC said, “The Strategic Advisory Network (SAN) is a flexible resource that provides essential strategic advice to EPSRC on cross cutting priorities such as Place, Mobility and Responsible Innovation. The SAN is one of the advice streams EPSRC uses to collect input from the community which is critical to helping us achieve our vision of ensuring that the UK is the place where the most creative researchers can deliver world-leading research. We are very pleased to welcome the sixteen new members to the SAN and are looking forward to them starting their new roles in April 2021.”

Tony Kenyon is also a primary supervisor at the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Connected Electronic & Photonic Systems (CEPS CDT) and Head of the Nanoelectronic & Nanophotonic Materials Group.
