PhD researcher embarks on EnterpriseTECH entrepreneurship programme

Arymurti Santosa has successfully completed the EnterpriseTECH Entrepreneurial Education programme designed to help researchers develop their entrepreneurial skills and understanding of commercialisation pathways.

Arymurti Santosa, a PhD researcher on the CEPS CDT, has successfully completed the highly competitive, and challenging, EnterpriseTECH Entrepreneurial Education programme. Hosted by the Cambridge Judge Business School, this three-month, extra-curricular programme is designed to help HE students and researchers develop their entrepreneurial skills and understanding of commercialisation pathways.

Candidates work with a coach, other researchers and businesses to explore the commercial potential of a real-world project, ultimately delivering a commercial feasibility report, a video infomercial, and final pitch. It is a fantastic opportunity to explore the intersection of cutting-edge STEM technologies, entrepreneurship and the start-up world, from a business school perspective.

Arymurti said, “This programme helped me understand how the innovation in my research could be reframed, both for wider impact and for potential future commercialisation. This is a great community for researchers aiming to create a business from their ideas.”

Arymurti was successful in gaining funding from the Henry Royce Institute for his place on the programme. The scholarship covered the application fee, transport and accommodation.

Arymurti Santosa is a PhD researcher at the Centre for Doctoral Training in Connected Electronic and Photonic Systems (CEPS CDT), UCL. Ary’s research is in the field of optical control of memristor dynamics for neuromorphic computing. His supervisor is Professor Tony Kenyon in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
