Step 1: Pre-application screening

Prospective students should complete a pre-application screening form before submitting a full application to either institution. This is not a formal application and there is no pre-application fee. 

Pre-applications are reviewed by a panel of CEPS CDT Directors from both UCL and University of Cambridge to assess your suitability before you are invited to make a full application. 

You may express a preference for either UCL or University of Cambridge at pre-application stage.

Step 2: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview. 

Step 3: Successful interviewees are invited to make a full application* to either UCL or University of Cambridge. Full applications are processed by the respective university.
